Developed A Rash Around Elbows, Upper Arms. Looks Like Sunburn. Mild Aching In Knees. Treatment?
Hi, I suddenly developed a rash around my elbows which climbed up the back of my upper arms last night. Now I have a sunburn like rash on my arms and legs and mild aching in my knees. I am 43, no known health problems, no meds. I have two kids aged six and eight with no symptoms but fifth disease was diagnosed at their school last week.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. There is rashes over elbows and spreading over others part of body. As you mentioned in your query that your two daughters diagnosed with FIFTH DISEASE in the school. Fifth disease is known as erythema infectiosum. As its name indicate that this is an contagious disease , hence you got it from your daughters. In adults this is usually associated with arthritis as in your case. You have mentioned that there is pain in knee joint it means arthritis is there. So consult a dermatologis/ orthopaedician and get in complete treatment. Hope I have answered your query. If, further any question I will happy help. Good luck for speedy recovery. Dr. HET
