Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Arms And Wrists
I woke up with a rash that looks and kinda feels like a sunburn on my arms above my wrists. It s hot to the touch. Went to urgent care and they said to taken benedryl because I refused to do a 7 day steroid treatment because for one, I did that treatment a few years back and had to stop right in the mifile of the treatment because I became extremely irritated and agitated mentally, and two they did not tell me anything specific only that it could br an alergic reaction to something.
Hello, Thank you asking at HCM. I understand the discomfort the lesions give you. If they developed within a night and are hot and feel like sunburn and you have no other complaint, no fever and you feel well, than it very likely is allergic reaction to something. If you have had nickel jewelry it may cause local irritation on the wrists and many times it is hard to really find what might have caused the allergy. I would recommend to use benadryl and also local cold compresses if the local irritation is intense . If the lesions spread you will need to see a doctor again. If you get lip or eyelid swelling or sort of breath you need urgent medical visit. Hope this answers to your question and is helpful to you.
