Developed Ringworm, Have Hair Loss, Nodule On The Scalp. What Is It?

My son developed ringworm in the middle of March. We noticed it by the hair loss on his head. We started treating it topically for a few weeks, then he got on an oral medication that he will take for six weeks, ending the end of May. We have seen his hair starting to grow back in the spot now, but we also feel a little nodule in that spot on his head, a small bump about the size of a pencil eraser. Would that be related in any way or just coincidental?

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

Sorry to hear about your son's problem. The treatment for ring worm is prolonged and it is important that he takes the treatment for the full duration. Small nodules can develop as a part of ring worm infection and they usually subside with the treatment. It is nothing to be alarmed about.

Hoping for the best.
