Diabetic. On Espogen And Insulin. How Can She Control Ill Effects On Kidney?

my mother, age 84, is a diabetic for 19 years, she got effected kidney now the Doctor sugust her get Espogen4000 every week, she is scared to get insoleen injection she get diabetic tables evey day, i have a question to you, How could she control her kidney effect any more, please let us guide , thank you.

Your mother is 84 years old, having DM for 19 years taking diabetic tab daily. How is the control of DM?. Now her kidney is probably affected by DM. In this case it is presumed that the DM is not under control.
Even for those who have good control of DM, if they want to undergo some sort of surgery the Dr gives Inj Insulin to have 24 hrs good control of DM
Similarly for your mother as the kidney is affected it is better to have Inj Insulin with or without oral Anti DM tab. I think your mother is having anemia, So inj Espogen 4000 is given every week. This drug is much preferred to correct anemia in chronic Renal failure. So continue inj Espogen 4000 every week along with Inj insulin.
