Diabetic. Fever Due To Urinary Infection. Are Diabetic Patients Prone To Urinary Infections?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Diabetics are prone for infections due to high, uncontrolled sugars. If the urinary tract infection is not treated promptly it will lead to sepsis, kidney infection. Urinary tract infection requires treatment with antibiotics for appropriate duration. Ask him to take plenty of water and oral fluids. Sugars shoul be controlled effectively with medications and with the regular follow up with his physician. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
