Diabetic, Have Leg Tenderness With Occasional Sharp Pains, Have Long Sitting Hours At Work. Cause?
I am experiencing occasional sharpe leg pains and the area around the pain seems to be tender. I am a Diabetic and a 65 year old female, I am concerned about PAD. So far my feet seem to be okay, so I m conerned i might have a blood clot in my leg? I sit in a office all day, usually on the computer, could my concerns about blood clots be justified?
yes there is a possiblity that it can be peripheral arterial diasease....
it has to be examined carefully....by manually checking the foot pulses, estimation of ABI....
kindly let me know the status of her diabetes...
what mediciations is she on insulin/tablets....
medications can only be prescribed after examination....
there is also possibility of having clot which is usually seen in pts suffering from PAD.
CT Angiogram is the test of choice ...
kindly visit a diabetologist and get yourself tested..
