Diabetic, Hypertensive With High Systolic, Microalbumin In Urine. On Medications. What To Do To Decrease Damage To Kidneys?

I am African, 66 yrs old, diabetic with 6.3% A1C; hypertensive with high systolic 156/ 70-80 ; colostoral controlled with simvastatin but high Microalbum, urine over 255.3, microalb/creatine ratio 531 creatinine, serume. 1.47. What must I do to decrease the damage of my kidneys. I take 0.5 mg Glipitizide once a day 500mg metformin twice a day and for my blood pressure I take 10 mg amelodophine, 40 mg Lisonopril, 25 mg hydroclortazide , and 81 mg aspirin daily and 20 mg simvastatin for cholesterol

Hello,
After going through your query I recommend you following measures .
1 Take frusemide 40 mg twice in day at 6-00 AM & 2nd dose at 3 PM .Take plenty of water .
2 Serum creatinine level is high 1-47 ( upper limit border line case ) with albumin in urine.
You are a diabetic case with chronic renal failure case .
At the age of 66 years , with high B P and serum level high is concerning . You need to investigated with ultrasound of both kidneys with M R I . I recommend you visit a nephrologist at earliest and sort this problem.
