You're a Type II diabetic patient on OHA's. But you're not adhering to the treatment strictly. First few years of diabetes is a very crucial period. If the blood sugars are controlled very effectively,in late the diabetes and its complications will be controlled effectively due to memory mechanism.
Now coming to your problem. Due to hyperglycemia the peripheral nerves are damaged and this process starts in the prediabetic stage itself. This is Diabetic peripheral neuropathy. You should take control of your Diabetes to restrict the progression of Diabetic neuropathy.
