Diabetic, Shows 35% Blood Vessels Working In Angio CT. Suggestions?

my father is 68yrs old. suffering from diabetes since last 10yrs. he is regular in treatment eventhough his sugar level goes up and down then and there. since from last 3months he was having chest pain and weakness. he undergone all the tests inculding angio CT. it suggest that 35% of heart blood vessles are in work. doctor advised thallium scan. after that deciding for sugery. kindly give opnion.

Hello,

Your father is a known diabetic for the past decade and he is on treatment.
By history his blood sugar is not well under control.
Now he is diagnosed with coronary artery disease.
Diabetes itself is a cardiac risk state and age also adds to it.
His blood sugar is also not controlled.
So he is at manifold risk of developing heart attack.
Surgery may be a good option to consider.
