I am so sorry to hear about this pain that has interfered with your exercise level and the consequences on your bllod sugar controlled. Exercise is very important in the management of diabetes. This expalins why you levels have gone up since you became unable to exercise normally as before.
Exercise often make your drug dosages lower. Becauseyou can no longer exercise as before, i will suggest that you talk withyour doctor on the possibility of increasing your drugs so as to cover this gap while you heal and return to exercise later. Then adjustments would be made.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Dr. Ditah, MD
