diabetes is a disorder which can damage different organs in the body for example kidneys, vesscles etc.the sugar record you mentioned is not satisfactory, alternation in blood sugar is not a healthy sign rather it has very harmful effects.so you should contact your physician/endocrinologist for proper dosage and if necessary may change the drug but before this you should do HbA1C.is a test which tells you about previous sugar control. also keep control on diet and weight.
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
With the available described details, it can be concluded that her sugar is partially controlled.
As such Tripride 2 has no side effect on kidney but uncontrolled blood sugar may cause chronic kidney disease in long run.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ endocrinologist and should go for thorough check up.
She should go for complete blood count, renal function test, lipid profile glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), urine routine microscopy.
If her kidney function is normal, then you should also take Vildagliptin on written prescription from your treating doctor.
She should go for blood sugar both fasting and postprandial on regular interval till complete control.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
