Diagnosed Melasma. Hyper Pigmentation, Acquired Ochronosis, Itching Of Face And Scalp. Any Complete Cure ?
Dear doctor, Though I have other health problems, I would request you to pl. diagnose my skin problem. The skin specialists in India have told me the name of my disease is Melasma , hyper pigmentation, and acquired ochronosis . Itching of face and scalp is really troubling meMy veruccas on the face (Dermatosis papulosa nigra) have been cauterized for the second time. I am not getting a complete cure. I used medicines Allegra , HH sone cream . This cream contains steroid and one doctor told me not to use it for a long period. Is there any medicine which can be used regularly? Is this skin problem curable completely? I take medicines for hypertension, cholestrol, and uric acid problems and also for BPH. But, the skin problem is disturbing me and I request a reply from you Sir.

I can understand your concern
For melasma and hyperpigmentation , hydroquinone is given which might have lead to aquired ochronosis in your case, so you can use,banatan cream in the morning and kojic cream at night.you can use these for two months and review with your doctor
. you may take some sessions of glycolic peels .
hhsone has momatosone, so it should not be used for long periods
Dermatosis papulosa nigra gradually increase in size and number with age so they need to be cauterised time to time. they are asymptomatic as such but are of cosmetic concern. complete cure is not possible
for itching of face and scalp you may take allegra when needed
keep face well hydrated.
calamine lotion will provide soothing action
use a sunscreen withspf25+regularly even if indoors
For scalp use a oat meal based shampoo and a antidandruff shampoo if dandruff is present
the time required is unpredictable and depends upon how your skin responds to the treatment
