Diagnosed As Gastritis. Taking Meloxicam For Inflammation In Knee. Is This Causing Stomach Pain?
about 2 mths ago i haveto go to the er. they said i gave gastritis. ive been doing alot of reading about gastritis & it said that some pain pills can cause gastritis. im taking meloxicam 7.5 for inflammation to my knee. can you tell me if thats making my stomach hurt like this.i wasnt taking these when i went to the er

Let me explain that what are the reasons of gastritis .
1 Certain pain relievers as meloxicam is one of them (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs i.e. NSAID). Fried food, spicy food, junk food greasy foods, drinks with caffeine in them , alcohol , chocolates all produces gastritis .
2 Tension or stress is one of the major cause of gastritis .
3 Over eating , no proper rest after meal also causes gastritis.
Few measures reduces gastritis , which may help you.
Try raising the head of you bed 4 inches with blocks.It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for 2 hours before you lie down.
Take antacid with oxetacaine in them ( local anesthetic ) . If symptoms are severe you may need proton pump inhibitors.
In my opinion take precautions as mentioned above. Still pain persists then consult a gastroenterologist and get his opinion.
