Diagnosed With COPD, Mild Pain In Lungs, Shortness Of Breath. Smoker, Weaning Now. Will It Be Normal ?
I was diagnosed with COPD in 1996 due th accidental inhalation of iron out and bleach mixed together. I also became a heavy 2 pack a day smoker who tried everything to quit. I just went from 40 cigs a day to 10 a day in the last 3 weeks. Next 2 weeks my goal is 5-7 cigs a day. My lungs are in mild annoying pain right now. I,m short of breath even with a little work out. I have to slow down to catch my breath. Will I ever be normal or will this progress. I smoked 30 years and I am 56 now.
hello sir
thanks for the reference
copd is obstructive and usually progress if you smoke only thing youy can do is halts its progression by stopping smoking and heakthy life style...during shortness of breath you can asthelin inhaler as on when required...pls make sure that you get one chest xray in case of fever or increase in cough or change in intensity...
thank you
