Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Cortisonne ( steroids are life saving drug ) is not responsible for your problem. 2nd point that tubercular meningitis is a disease of brain ( membrane ) which develops due to Mycobacterium tuberculosis. So the causative bacteria are reason of this disease, if any in your brain, not cortisone. Misconception are there , so please remove it from your brain. Good luck. Dr. HET
Hi, Your doctor suggesting crohn disease and doubting bowl TB is because one fits the symptoms more than the other. You getting more sick with steroids proofs that it probably may not be crohns but does not confirms nor excludes bowls TB but open room for more investigations. Like LP for CSF biochemistry & bacteriology because meningitis TB can last this long.
Thanks
