Diagnosed With Guillian Barre Syndrome, Having Diarrhea, Suggested Putting Rectal Tube For Sometime. IS It A Good Idea ?

My mother was diagonised with Guillian Barre Syndrome. She is 69 years old and has came a long way so far. She is now having diarreah from the infection medicines they are giving her. Having to move her alot in bed and afraid that will cause problems with her skin. They wanted to put in a rectal tube for a few days til the diarreah subsides. do you thank that is a good idea and needed so her skin want break down. She has been in the Hospital for 5 weeks tomorrow. They say alot of rehab and a long slow process. She is doing real wll with the therapy.

Guillian Barre Syndrome needs hospitalisation and care to prevent pain and infections ad have a smart life. Rectal tube as said by your consultant is to be proceeded and rehabilitation will provide a hopeful life too
