Hello Subhra.
Its possible to get pregnant with PCOS. First of all dont be anxious as anxiety leads to
irregular periods as well.
Modus is
medroxy progesterone which is a progesterone tablet and causes withdrawal bleeding and menses. Chrominac A is used to reduce
Insulin Resistance and improves Insulin Sensitivity which are associated problems of PCOS responsible for
infertility and hormonal disbalance. These medications do not harm you in anyway. They are safe but do consider stopping them when you plan to get pregnant. Metformin is another good drug to treat PCOS , helps in weight reduction with added advantage that it can also be continued during pregnancy. So you can discuss with your doctor about your desire to get pregnant once married and start with metformin itself.
Dronis 30 is an oral
contraceptive pill which helps to regularize periods in PCOS and also reduces the androgen (male hormone) levels which are found high in PCOS. So you have to stop using them when you plan to get pregnant.
Actually Dronis 30 alone would help in your periods. There is no use of taking both Modus and dronis.
Key to treatment of PCOS is weight reduction. Even 10% loss of body weight would help you a lot. So healthy diet with regular exercise is a must. Try losing weight as much as possible more so because once you get pregnant you cannot lose weight.
Besides its better to treat your PCOS before getting pregnant as PCOS has many risks in pregnancy like
miscarriage, diabetes and
hypertension. Weight reduction helps a lot in PCOS and is most important. So take it seriously before you plan pregnancy.
take care.
