OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

Polycystic ovarian disease usually presents with irregular menstrual periods and anovulation, sometimes with infertility due to the abnormality in reproductive hormone levels and increase insulin resistance. According to your ultrasound follicular study report, both your ovaries are having multiple follicles indicating polycystic ovarian disease, but still there is development of few dominant follicles in both the ovaries. But at this stage it is difficult to tell whether you are able to conceive or not.

You have to follow with the follicular study on alternate day, when the dominant follicles reaches around 2 cm size you can take injection of human chorionic gonadotropin for ovulation with your doctor's advice and have to plan unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, which will increase the possibility of pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
