Diagnosed With Breast Cancer. Bone Scan, CT Scan Contrast Clear. Treatment Plan?

Hi, This is Fayzan M. Keshwani from Pakistan, Karachi. My mother has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer . Doctor gave a few tests to identify how heavily it has spread, but thank God, uptil now, we have got Bone scan and CT Scan contrast which is clear and it has not spread, however, blood report needs to come tomorrow. After these tests, doctor, Mrs. Shahista Khan, breast cancer specialist will give us a treatment plan and i want you to take a look at the attached reports with this email and give your treatment plan which i will discuss with my doctor and come up with the best treatment plan. I know its alot to ask but my mother needs your immediate help...

Oncologist, Radiation 's  Response
Dear Fayzan,
The treatment of cancer of breast is done after confirming the cancer (biopsy) then checking hormone receptor status (ER/PR/Her 2neu) on biopsy specimen, workup to rule of distant spread by bone scan CTscan/US abdomen etc. and most important is check up by oncologist and do what we call as clinical staging T for tumor, N for node, M for metastases. So if tumor is small and no nodes it becomes early cancer and if tumor is big with nodes in axilla it becomes advanced cancer.
Early cancer can be operated straightaway followed by chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
Advanced cancer are usaully given chemotherapy and then surgery and radiotherapy.
The exact plan depends on the stage and clinician.
Hope it helps
Regards
