i. As the medicine(s) prescribed is mainly for thyroid related problem(s) and general debility thus do let me know what were/is the main complaints for which you contacted the physician?

ii. Patient profile is MALE 26 whereas in prescription slip: Age and SEX is 49, F thus in women the said medicine is mainly given in Menstrual related problems [chiefly concerned with Thyroid gland] thus check with her TFT [thyroid function test], Hemoglobin level [complete CBC picture] as all the medicine are directed towards the symptoms related with thyroid abnormalities [particularly hypothyroidism]

Please find the required details.

The enquiry is for my mom who's suffering from brain tumor. Am looking for some permanent remedy and wanted to know its possibility in ayurveda.

Summary of the case is she underwent 2 major surgeries and a 30 session radio therapy 3 years back and the residue of the tumour is still present causing symptoms.

Now shez again experiencing severe symptoms like frequent & prolonged seizures/fits, Right part is less functional, developed fats due to halopathic medicines, lost healthy hairs due to RT,..

Am looking for some permanent cure which can nullify this effects and shrinks tumor to least possible extent.

1. After reviewing the answers/opinion given by fellow learned Neurologist/ Physicians, I’m of the following opinion:

i. Since she is a diagnosed case so remain under the regular supervision of your attending doctor
ii. Ayurveda drugs can be started as an Adjuvant along with her anti seizure medications [to help alleviate the side effects]
iii. As said time and again [at her age] best management is regular MRI of the brain and Surgery [if at present it is benign/slow growing and non-invasive]
iv. I usually follow the said protocol in my patient[s]:

- Avoidance of carcinogens: tobacco in any form, alcohol, radiations from x-rays/ mobiles/ towers [as far as possible]

- Immunomodulation ( Rasayana Chikitsa): which corrects dysfunction of tissues without disturbing the functions of normal tissues, and also potentiates humoral antibodies by increasing serum immunoglobulins.

. Vitamin A: helps to maintain Thymus gland which is powerful anti viral gland: carrots, cantaloupe, egg yolk, apricots, pumpkin, papaya.

. Vitamin C: is needed for proper functioning of Immune system: Amla (Indian gooseberry) is ideal

. Vitamin E: is a powerful anti-oxidant which helps to stimulate antibody production: peanuts, dries apricots, cooked spinach, taro root.

v.     The drugs in such cases, which my patients are already taking in parallel with allopathic drugs [without drug-drug interactions] and with result oriented effects are:
-     One which increases Immunity
-     One which corrects the digestive system
-     One which detoxifies the body
-     One which improves the liver function

1. As in the said medicine prescription, two are acting as Immunomodulators whereas rest are for symptomatic relief: like for hair fall, to ease pain, to increase appetite thus is not disease specific

2. As in Ayurveda one holds ‘AGNI’ [metabolism] to be the root cause of every disease [i.e. when metabolism is low there is built up of toxin suitable for cancer to grow] thus I usually follow the protocol as explained earlier which covers the pathology as a whole [as the medicine(s) are being prepared by myself thus cannot explain each and every ingredient thus in nut shell provided you with the line of treatment. [in earlier reply]

3. As far as complete elimination is concerned no one can guarantee the outcome, however with my experience with the medicine they act as curative as well as preventive by keeping the internal environment in harmony with the external environment in addition to dietary regime and lifestyle changes to improve the overall fitness and health of the person

1. The treatment protocol which I recommend and is followed by my patient(s) is/are:

i. medicine for detoxification: 685/- for 60 caps [dose: 1 cap twice daily]
ii. medicine for correcting/normalizing the digestive system: 720/- for 60 capsules [dose: 1 cap twice daily]
iii. medicine for improvement of liver function: 700/- for 60 caps [dose: 1 cap twice daily] and blood purification: 330/- for 200 ml bottle [dose: 2 tablespoon thrice daily] i.e. 330X3 bottle= 990/-
