Diagnosed With Breast Cancer. Have Brain Tumor With Fluid Spreading To Brain And Spinal Cord. Life Expectancy?
My best friend was diagnosed 18 months ago with primary breast cancer. Secondary bone, liver, lungs, lymph. 2 weeks ago she developed a brain tumour and now it's spread to the fluid around the brain and spinal cord. She is having palliative care now and on a suringe driver.
In your experience. What is usually the life expectancy from now. Xxxx
Sorry to hear this, though how much we would.like to help you , She has developed secondaries to her brain also. Even with modern era chemo and radiotheraphy we can never be able to say how long she would be able to live. Some can go on for a few yrs and some can be for a few months and the rest can't say how long. So wat u r doin now for her, the palliative care is d best right now. Sorry once again for your friend.
Sorry to hear about your friend's condition. Her brain tumor is probably secondary to the breast cancer she is suffering from. Considering the extent of metastasis (spread of the tumor), she has a poor prognosis and an average life expectancy of a few months (4-6 months). During this period, you should make sure that she remains pain free and has a good quality of life.
Hoping for the best.
