Diagnosed With Bronchitis, On Zithromax. Head Feels Stuffy, No Taste And Smell Sensation After Having Antibiotic. Suggest?

I was diagnosed with bronchitis on Monday, it's been a full two weeks since I began getting this. I am on Zithromax, but my head feels stuffy today and for the last three days I cannot smell or taste anything. These symptoms actually started AFTER I had the antibiotic on Monday...normal to feel a little worse before feeling better? And will my sense of smell return?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The symptoms of facial congestion implies that your sinuses may be congested. This would respond to an antihistamine and decongestant, which can be found in combination medications.

During the course of an illness, the symptoms can actually worsen till the illness reaches its peak and then improve subsequently.

Your sense of smell and taste should return in a few days as you improve.

I hope this helps
