Diagnosed With Chlamydia. Had Sex Before Going For Physical Examination. Can We Diagnose Within Few Hours Of Sex?
My 21 yr old daughter was just diagnosed with chlamydia. She has had 3 partners in the past 4 years. One was 2 years ago, one was in July and one was just a few weeks ago. She had a PE last year in Oct and everything came back fine. Before her PE in Oct this year she had sex the night before with a young man. She was diagnosed with the chlamydia. Can you diagnose it within a few hours of having sex?

Yes, you can diagnose it through Nucleic acid amplification test(NAAT), provided the antibiotics has not been started yet.
