Diagnosed With Chronic Pancreatitis. Lipase And Inflammation Level Climbing. Should I See Gastroenterologist ?

Hello Dr. , I have been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. They have stated I need to see a gasterenologist? Do these doctors specialize in this or should I ask to see someone else. My lipase level is 346 and my inflammation level was 124 until they put me on antibiotics but it is steadily climbing again. I do not see the other doctor until aug 21st. any information would be appreciated. Thank you
