Diagnosed With Lichen Sclerious. Taking Clobetasol Propionate. Doctor Told That My Vaginal Area Is Closing

I had been diagnosed with lichen sclerious (sp) about 3 years ago and have been taking Clobetasol Propionate 0.05%2x weekly and because of my moving, I found a new doc. He told me my vaginal area is closing and he is prescribing me to take the same medication, but 2X daily. He also prescribed Estrace 2x weekly. I am 75 years old and have had no sexual activity for about 10 years. Could I have your thoughts on this? Thank you

Hello.Lichen sclerosus of the vulva is a progressive and recurrent disease of unknown cause.Sclerosing material can even close the entrance of the vagina,
sexual activity cause pain and bleeding.Treatment prescribed by her two doctors is appropriate. If the treatment is ineffective, the dermatologist may prescribe additional therapeutic options.I wish you good health.
