Diagnosed With Mild Esophagitis. Taking Dexilant, Zantac. Have GERD, Pain And Lump In Throat, Burning In Chest. Healing Time?
Thank you! I was diagnosed with mild Esophagitis after having an endoscopy...wherein the dr. took a biopsy, etc. I have GERD and have been on 60 mg. of Dexilant and also a zantac for probably 3 or 4 weeks. I am still having a very irritating "lump in throat", pain in throat and burning in chest at night...throat feels swollen. How long before I can expect healing?
Hi, I have gone through your query. In mild esophagitis minimum 5 weeks required for healing if you are on right treatment with responding well. I also advised for 1. You should avoid caffeine, hot and spicy food. 2. Avoid smoking, alcohol drinking if you have. If you have any doubt, I will be available for your query.
