Diagnosed With Mitral Valve Stenosis, Aneurysm In The Femoral Artery. How To Proceed?
I took my 84 year old mother to the doctor today and she is diagonised with mitral valve stenosis. She also has an aneurysm in the femoral artery that has increased from 3.2 miligrams to 4.5 miligrams in the last couple of years. The doctor didn t really give much advice on how we should proceed. Any advice you can give to direct us would be appreciated.
HI Thank for asking to HCM It is good know that you are taking good care of your mother, as long as the mitral stenosis is concern if she is candidate for some noninvasive procedure like balloon mitral valvoltomy it would be better for her, go for that for, the aneurysm in this age nothing much can be done, but I think she would make it without the treatment so it is not the matter of concern, take care of your mother have great day.
