Radiologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Muscle atrophy needs further assessment. There are test like electromyography and nerve muscle stimulation studies by which the nerve supply to a muscle and its excitation can be studied. This is done by the neurologist and then medications can be taken depending on results. Also try to use your affected muscles regularly and that might bring back power to those muscle groups. This can be learnt with the help of a physiotherapist.

Hope this helps
