Diagnosed With Myositis. What Could It Be?

Hi Dr. I have been diagnosed with myositis , many Dr s. haven t heard of this . Can you tell me why. My sister is a Dr. father was, brothers in law. They all knew what it was. Thank you Jacqueline What about pro bono???? I ve been to medical school too. In my day, we were not wanted, our place was in the home, raising children. Not so.

Myositis is inflammation of the muscles, it is usually caused by preexisting autoimmune conditions .It is also a side effect of drugs used to lower lipid levels and statins for cholesterol and blood pressure.
