Hello, A rectocele is simply a defect in the posterior vaginal fascia allowing the colon to push into the vagina and create a bulge and sometimes stool pocketing. It would not cause diarrhea, but may cause constipation. Rectocele is one of the complication of hysterectomy. Please do the following investigations 1. Stool culture 2. Stool examination for ova, Parasites and cysts. If that's negative, have to consider dietary related issues such as celiac sprue. Some general advice for control of diarrhoea. 1. Limit consumption of fatty, sweet or spicy foods. 2. Avoid alcohol. 3. Increase consumption of starchy foods like banana, rice and bread. 4. Increase consumption of yoghurt containing live cultures.
Hope this helps. Please reply for further queries. Wishing you good health.
