Diagonised With Bladder Infection. Taken Macrobid. Why Not Getting Period?

I am a 30yr old woman with a child from a previous relationship. My periods have always been regular 32-33 days. This month I am two days late, which is a never. My husband and I are not ttc but if it happens we will be excited. Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with a bladder infection and prescribed Macrobid . Could the infection delay my period?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM
You have suffered a UTI ( Urinary tract infection ) recently, I hope you have completed the course of Macrobid.
Yes any illness infective like UTI can delay as can any stressful condition ,but otherwise in reproductive age pregnancy should always be kept as possibility.
Your date has already passed if still there is no period please test for pregnancy in urine .
If positive take care and good luck.
If negative it may come in few days do not worry for it.
If pregnancy is positive and you have UTI just take care in selecting proper antibiotics which are safe in pregnancy.
