Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a bladder infection for about 2 weeks. My doctor prescribed Macrobid. When the urine culture came back it showed my bacteria was resistant. My doctor then prescribed Bactrim. I have been on it for 8 days and my pain is getting worse. In the past Bactrim never cleared up my bladder infections. How is this possible when the urine culture shows that Bactrim is susceptible?
if you have done urine R/e which confirms infection then go for urine C/S which confirms which type of bacteria is causing infection after that u l be given such antiboitic to which that bactreia is sensitive... urinay tract infection is very common infection can be caused due to poor hygienic condition.weak immunity are the very common causes. frequent sexual intercourse.
