Diarrhea, Green Stool, Bleeding, Mucus. Anti-fungal Cream. On Bananas, Rice. Stop Breast Feeding? Milk Protein Allergy?
My one year old switched to whole milk from breastmilk. After 1 week of being on whole milk she got bad diarrhea and diaper rash. She was on prescription anti-fungal cream and mostly recovered from both. As soon as she got diarrhea we stopped whole milk and started breastmilk again. Yesterday she had bright green poop with bright red blood and mucus in it. And this morning she had dark green constipated poop with a very small amount blood and mucus in it. We've been feeding her banana, rice, potatoes. We took her to the doc and they are going to do lab tests on her poop. But, I want to know if there are any home remedies. Is this a sign of a milk protein allergy? Should I stop breast feeding her? What is a good substitute for her to drink instead of milk and yet get the same nutrition? Should we do a amino acid based formula?
