Didn't Have Period As Per Date. Had Unprotected Sex. Is There Chance For Pregnancy?

Hello Doc,

i had my period started on 18/04/2012.and yesterday night i had an unprotected sex with my husband.he had ... inside me.so,i m afraid of getting pregnant.last month i had my period start on 20th.genrlly,i have period on 15-20th day of each month.so is it possible that i get pregnant?yesterdy i didnt have much bleeding only some red colored mucus.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
In case of regular periods there is less chance for pregnancy.
Because usually in regular 28 to 30 days cycle ovum will release on around 14th to 16th day.
If there is any irregularity in your cycles previously, you better go for emergency pill as 72 hours not yet over after the intercourse.
If you are not planning for pregnancy better to use some regular method of contraception to avoid these problems in future.
