Difficulty Breathing, Trouble Swallowing, Coughing, Fever. Side-effects Of Local Anaesthesia?
I received quite a lot of local anaesthetic at the dentist a few days ago. when i returned home I had trouble breathing and swallowing .I began coughing and developed a temperature. I did not sleep for three nights so visited the doctor who gave me something for the cough and pain killers to bring down my temperature. He said it was coincidence about the anaesthetic. I m sure he was wrong. Now I can t face any more dental treatment. What do you think? Thank you.

Hi,
If there was fever then possibilities are that you got some infection in upper throat region which lead to edema causing compromise of air and food pipe.I guess you should see ENT doctor to have a look at this region. This help you plan and take precaution during further dental treatment.
Regards.
