Difficulty In Breathing And Swallowing, Sore Throat, Dry Nose. Have Panic Attacks. Advice?

Hi doctor I've been finding it hard to breath for almost 2 years now, at first the symptoms weren't as bad, things like hard to swallow sore throat. But now it's got worse, I constantly have a really dry throat which makes it hard for me to breath, this is causes me to have panic attacks and I won't leave the house unless I carry a bottle of water. It's really affected my life. Lately my nose gets getting dry but I just can't deal with the anxiety please help me?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

I have gone through your history.

It seems that you are having panic disorder with agoraphobia.

You should consult psychiatrist for detailed evaluation. Doctor may advise you to go for investgations to rule out physical causes like thyroid dysfunction or vitamine B12 deficiency.

Doctor may prescribe you anti anxiety agents like clonazepam or lorazepam alongwith antideprrasant drug like peroxetine.

You may get benefit by stress management and breathing exercise.

Thanks.
