Hi, Thanks for using HCM

Taking pain killer will only cause relief from pain but will not reduce underlying cause. i feel you should get evaluated for underlying cause for pain and treated for it. Long term use of tramadol causes dependence, on sudden withdrawal causes symptoms. You need consult a physician to know cause and reduce tramadol dose gradually and then stop it.

Hope this helps you.

General & Family Physician Dr. Haseena Hamdani's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM
Your Doctor is treating you for Restless leg Syndrome. Your Doctor gives you prescription at one time for one month only, because if in case you are taking overdosage of it, can give some serious side effects. Another point to remember is that it is an addictive medicine. It is a wise decision to gradually stop this medication. Now a days newer medicines are available which are more effective and less side effects. Besides medicines, I hope you are taking other precautions, like avoiding smoking, Alcohol, Coffee. You must also do regular exercises. You should do cold and warm bath, before going to bed. You may also take Magnesium supplement. I am sure your Doctor must have ruled out Anemia, varicose veins, and other diseases which can give the similar symptoms.
Do not stop your medicine abruptly and without asking your Doctor.
Hope you got your answer.

Take good care.
