From Feb 14 to present day, I have experienced a tautness on my left side from my hip to my left foot as well as in the upper quadrant of my left side. In fact, the numbness at first, progressed from my hip to my foot then upward to my left quadrant. It now has become a total rubber band-like feeling that seems to find its origin just under my left rib cage. This all came about because I shifted a very heavy shoulder strap brief case while walking. i first thought that I had sprained some muscles but since have altered my view since when I walk gas accumulates causing a slight constriction in my chest which is only relieved through belching or flatulence.
I have tried to be precise in this because it has been diagnosed as arthritis as well as trouble with vertebrae in my neck. I don't believe that either of these is true, so I need help being given the duration of this malady. I hope that I have given you enough details so that you can help me.
Thank you,
Dr. A. G. Edwards, Ph.D.
