Dizziness, Runny Nose And Dry Cough. Have Taken OTC Drugs, Got Some Relief. Is It Sinus/allergy Or Ear Infection?

I have been experiencing some dizziness with turning my head now for close to 3 weeks. I did have the whole nasal congestion when the weather started changing a couple weeks ago. I was taking OTC meds for that and had gotten better. Just in the last 2 days I have started with runny nose, hard to breathe, and now a dry cough. Is my dizziness related to all of my allergy/sinus problems or could it be something different? Also, based on my symptoms, do you think I could have an ear infection that I should take something more than OTC meds? Thanks!

Hi,

yes it may be allergy. To confirm this you should perform allergy tests.

Apart the allergy, you should test for streptococcal pharyngitis, because it may be a strep that gives you recurrent symptoms.

It's not an ear infection, you don't need antibiotics, but you do need to check the cause of your symptoms.
