Dizziness, Stuffed Nose, Shortness Of Breath, Sinus Pressure, Headache. Treatment?
I have had a sudden experience with a dizziness sort of thing it lasts only for a few seconds and I have had this more than once Im having a stuffed up nose, shortness of breath and sinus pressure headaches, during the attack I feel im about to pass out or fall I also had some ear pain off and on. I had this same thing happen to me earlier in the summer after I had eaten and had a caffinated soft drink, I was headed for the interstate to go home and everything just turned black and I felt faint suddenly and was able to pull over and sit there until I was able to drive again. if you can make any sense of this I will be most grateful for your response

Hello Welcome in H.C.M. I have gone through your query regarding dizziness, stuffed nose, shortness of breath,sinus pressure & headache. Your all above symptoms indicates that you are basically having Rhinosinusitis and that spread to involve throat and ear via Eustachian tube, since this is a respiratory tract infection so your larynx and lungs may also be involved and giving you feeling of shortness of breath. You are advice for these investigations- 1- X- ray paranasal sinuses. 2- X-Ray chest (P.A. View). 3- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab. 4- Blood -CBC, ESR, Blood sugar (F & PP). These above investigations will confirm the diagnosis and final line of treatment. In the meantime you may take- a- Tab Paracetamol. b- Anti-hitaminic. c- Decongestant. d- Steam inhalations. e- Adequate fluid orally. I hope this will help you. Regards.
