Dizziness, X-ray Shows Spike On Disc. Problem Of Nerve Or Bone?
My wife, 71, said she felt down back onto her bed last night with heavy dizziness , for a while, before able to get up to rest room. She said just need to turn her head and shoulder certain way and be able to get back to normal. she has spike seen via x-ray on 5th disc. Is this problem to nerve or bone (spine?) systems?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The presence of spike in the 5 th cervical vertebra is suggestive of cervical spondylosis and it might be responsible for the nerve compression symptoms and the dizziness. Turning the head relieves the pressure on the nerve and thus the symptoms.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
