Do Advil Or Nyquil Intake Cause False Positive On Drug Test?

Hi. I have a cold and I have been taking Zicam, vitamin C, and elderberry syrup for the last two days. I m thinking about taking Advil and/or Nyquil to help me sleep tonite, but I have a drug test tomorrow. Could any of the medications/supplements that I ve been or am considering taking cause a false positive on my drug test? Thank you!

Hello,

It will be better if you try and postpone the drug test tomorrow and take a gap of few weeks before you are tested. Antihistamines and analgesics that you have taken may cause false positive drug tests. Vitamin C that you have taken also may interfere giving a falsely heightened result. Elderberry syrup may give false positive test results for ethyl glucuronide, etc. Stay away from addictions and switch to healthy eating habits and healthy lifestyle.
