Hi! Is it possible that taking althea would delay mens? I started taking althea 1 week before my expected period, I m already delayed for 7 days today and I m still taking althea. I took pregnancy test but it s negative. I m so confused and scared right now. Can you please help me out.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Althea is an Estrogen and Progesteronecontraceptive pill.Like other estrogren/progesterone pills, it has many possible side effects. Most of these side effects usually happen with new users and go away over time. Among it side effects, delayed menstruation cycle (till 2 packs of Althea) has been described. I will advise you just stay calm, continue your pills as prescribed and wait for your menses. If menses over delay or other symptoms appear, you see your Doctor for evaluation. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
