Hi,

Ciplactin (cyproheptadine) is irst-generation antihistamine used for the treatment of conditions such as allergic reactions, allergic rhinitis, migraine, cluster headache, etc. Dexona (dexamethasone) is a steroid and is commonly used to treat internal and external swelling associated with diseases like asthma, colitis, arthritis, and skin allergies.

Its common side effects include stomach ulcers, thinning of the bones, increased blood glucose levels, increased blood pressure, weight gain, increased risk of infections, delayed wound healing, cataract, and mood changes. Taking dexona may also cause the testicles to shrink stopping sperms production. This means that men taking this drug may have problems starting or adding to their family in the future.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
