General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, these medications can be associated with weight gain.

Medications can cause weight gain by increasing appetite, decreasing fullness, decreasing activity and slowing metabolism.
There is little that can be done regarding the metabolism but monitoring food/drink intake and activity can prevent weight gain.

If there is an increase in appetite, use food not likely to cause weight gain and set aside time for physical activity if possible.

I hope this helps
