Clogged up nose. Keep blowing nose and persistent mucus. Had the same last year until a long string of bloody mucus pulled through nostril. Do I have mucus on the brain ? Which treatment available?
Hi, Thanks for your query.
You do not have mucous in your brain. You are suffering from upper respiratory tract infection. You may also have sinusitis.
I suggest you visit a physician. You will require decongestants and may be antibiotics.
Have a healthy life !
It is k/a sinusitis. You don't have mucus in brain but you do have it in sinuses, i.e. air cavities in the cranial bones, especially those near the nose.
Treatment includes steam inhalation, if it is due to allergens, avoidance of the allergens.
Saline nasal irrigation, decongestants, antihistamines, and expectorants are appropriate for symptomatic relief.
Antibiotic will be helpful.
I advice you to meet ENT specialist who will examine and prescribe you the right medicine.
Hope my answer will be helpful for you.
Take care.
