Do Januvia And Tradjenta Belong To The Same Family Of Medications?

Hi... I am a diabetic since 2008. I was put on metformin and was on this medicine until Oct. 2013 when I had kidney failure ( kidney operating fine now.) spent 2 weeks in hospital. told the metformin had stopped working and had put acid into my blood. I went on insulin. the insulin has been putting a lot of weight on me and I wanted off of it. My Dr. told me she is putting me on Januvia but the 30 day samples she gave to me are called Tradjenta.( 5 mg per tablet) Takine 1 x a day. She was out of the Januvia samples but said this is Tradjenta is in the Januvia family. Is that correct ?
