Do Micardis 40mg Intake Result In Adverse Side Effects?

I was just prescribed Corveram 5/5mg for high blood pressure and had very bad side affects, the doctor has now change the medication too Micardis 40mg. I am really anxious about starting the new medication in case I get the same and/or other side affects. Could you please advise what I can expect from the new medications and what to do if I do get bad side affects again. Many Thanks Renane

Hello,

Every medicine has side effects even if they are mild. Micardis 40 MG Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure, prevent stroke and other heart diseases. It also has some side effects.

You should know that it may cause a change in vision, dizziness, increased heartbeat, painful urination, diarrhoea, muscle pain to name some.

But every patient will not experience all side effects and it is also possible that one may not experience any.

Let me tell you that a doctor always weighs the benefits and side effects of the medicine and only then he or she prescribes it.

So I don't think there is a need to worry.
