Do Ovacare And Fertomid Help In Treatment Of Infertility?

Hi, I m taking ovacare and fertomid from past 1month. I already have a daughter who is 7yrs old n I m 27.... I have tsh and been trying from past one year to get conceive and was suggested with ovacare and fertomid only last month... I m also taking tyroid tablet of 100 mcg. What are my chances of getting pregnant.

Hi,

First keep TSH level below 3 to 3.5 mIU/L by taking proper treatment under supervision of an endocrinologist. Both ovacare and fertomid will help to become pregnant. Ovacare will help in good quality egg formation, decrease insulin resistance, maintain weight and reproductive health. Fertomid will help in maturation of ovarian follicle and ovulation. It increases fertility in 50% cases.

It should be taken under supervision of a gynecologist and monitoring will be done by USG/ovarian follicle study from 10th to 12th day of period. If ovarian follicle size will be 18 to 21 mm then it will have a high chance of pregnancy as it releases good quality egg.

If egg is not released to form mature egg then HCG shot will help you. You can go for above treatment for 4 to 6 months.You can also ask for progesterone pill after ovulation for 10 days. It makes uterine environment favorable for implantation and supports pregnancy. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise.
