Hello,

It is very good to know that you are a survivor of the harshness of life through which you had to go some time back. It gives me immense delight to know that you love your life now. Almost all the medicines have side effects, its not only about the ones you are prescribed. Never stop your prescribed medicines suddenly because they may cause withdrawal symptoms, also restlessness and discomfort.

When you feel better you should inform your treating psychiatrist so that the doses can be reduced gradually. You are suggested to switch to a healthy lifestyle so that you become less dependent on the medicines. You will become an awesome mom because you are so concerned for your infant even before conception.

However, do not haste. Give time to yourself, let your system adjust gradually so that you do not have side effects or withdrawal symptoms. Never try to detox by yourself. You should always take the help of a detox center and a doctor. Sometimes such symptoms may arise that you will need urgent medical aid.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
